Porridge is a lovely winter warmer but it’s also an excellent source of slow releasing energy so ideal for those first few months when your baby is using carbohydrates to grow and leaving you tired and lethargic.
Unfortunately it’s all too easy for porridge to be under or overcooked, so follow my recipe for perfect porridge, every time!
35g oats (unsweetened)
250 ml semi skimmed milk / almond milk
1 teaspoon pumpkin seeds
3 tablespoons pomegranate seeds / raspberries
- Add the milk to a bowl of oats and stir, before microwaving for 90 seconds
- Stir and return to the microwave for a further 30 seconds
- Add the seeds to the top
